Floor Joists
Today I did not get to catch as much of the action as I had hoped for. In a nutshell, the floor joist were put into place today and the subfloor decking installed on top of that. If you look at the photos, you will see that they have gone with an engineered I-joist for the flooring system. These are a very versatile type of floor joist. The builders and contractors are able to cut through these easily to allow installation of other sytems later on down the road.
Once the joist had all been installed and fastened properly, the decking was placed on top of them. Check back tomorrow, I am told there is going to be some progress you can really see!!
