Day 019/ Odds N Ends

Today the guys were tying up a few loose ends. No real huge aspects going on today, you have to look really hard to spot any noticeable progress.

They finished shingling the overhangs above the garage doors, notice the tin shingles going up the wall where the shingles meet the wall. This is done to prevent water intrusion into the home.
The guys were also busy framing in the stairway that will lead down into the basement. Maybe tomorrow we will actually see some steps in place.

I also got some shots of the finished basement floor. Notice the relief cuts that have been placed in the floor by the concrete guys. These are precut into the slab, to help resist cracking if the foundation does any settling.
