Day 014/ Shingling The Roof
Today the crew was busy getting the roof shingles installed. Early this morning they started on the back side of the home and have it completely shingled. They also got a pretty good start on the front side as well.
If you look at the images below, you'll notice the ice and water shield they have installed at the lower edge of the roof. This is to help with ice damming during the winter months. This has also been laid in the valleys on the front side of the home, along with galvanized valley flashing.
Tomorrow the crew hopes to have all the shingling finished, so they can move on to the next stage of the project.

The plumbing and heating contractor was also on site today. Yesterday they had started roughing in the plumbing for the home. Today was more of the same, and also some duct fabrication. Later this week they hope to have the in floor heating system roughed in.
The photo with the green board in it is of the garage. The vapor barrier has been installed and the drain pipes and boxes have been placed. Once the remainder of the green board is installed they will be ready to pour the floor in the garage.
