Children are being exposed to lead poisoning and it is still a major environmental health problem in the US Lead is much more dangerous to children because they often put their fingers and other objects such as pacifiers into their mouths If there is lead based paint on windows, they will eat paint chips or eat soil from outside that is contaminated with lead It affects children more because they are still developing Lead Paint was banned in 1978
