Subterranean termites are the most prevalent type of termite in the USA. They live in underground nests, getting moisture from the soil and eating cellulose which they find in plant matter and also in wood. This is why they can often be found in any wooden structure that is close to the ground e.g. sills, porches and steps. A full termite inspection will be able to discover any subterranean termite infestation you may have in your home.
This is a big concern for home owners. Once termites take hold, they can eventually lead to the building collapsing. However, there is no need to be concerned if you have just discovered you have termites. Your home is not in immediate danger. It will not fall down over the course of a day. However, it is worth being careful, checking for the signs and, if necessary, having a full termite inspection of your home.
It is not always obvious when your home is infected with termites. Termites are not keen on daylight and if they do break through the wood, will immediately cover it over with a cork like material. Unlike other insects, they will not leave sawdust or holes as a tell-tale sign of infestation.
Often, the first the home owner will know about it is when a swarm of flying termites emerges. These swarms will often arise in spring (April/May time), but they can occur at any time of the year. If you see a swarm of termites in or near your home or you find termite wings which have been shed, then take action by having a termite inspection. An experienced home inspector will be able to spot signs that any untrained eye would miss completely.
If you suspect you have a termite infestation, you can test the wood. The most likely place to find subterranean termites is in wood that is close to the ground and in a poorly ventilated place. Find a part of the wood that is not exposed and try to push a screwdriver into the wood. If the wood is firm and resistant, then it is unlikely that there is a termite problem. If the screwdriver goes into the wood easily, then you may well have a termite infestation. Termites will eat away at the inside of the wood (leaving only a thin layer of wood on the outside), so if you discover hollow wood during your tests, take measures to control your subterranean ant problem as soon as you can to ensure that home is safe by having a termite inspection undertaken.

Millions upon millions of people have blogs, which is awesome! The fact is, though, that the majority of them will fail to be anything more than something of a personal site or archive of your own thoughts. Why is that?
Most blogs fail to provide content that connects with people outside their immediate sphere of influence, such as family and friends. Many blogs also plateau at a certain level of success because they lack focus, clarity or purpose. Readers stumble across a new blog, look around and ask themselves, “So what?”
Dawud Miracle, a popular business consultant, wrote a post in which he shared his thoughts and a great video about the topic. Take a look at this interview of Chris Garrett and see if your blog answers the question of “So what?”
If you want to have a successful blog, then you must ensure that readers immediately answer the “So what?” question with, “Oh, I get it! This is great!”
It’s fine to have a personal blog that exists for your own fulfillment; however, if you really want to connect with others, then you need to add value to their experience by giving them something they need.
Prescription medication has become incredibly common over the last twenty years and in many cases unjustified. The greed and corruption within the prescription drug industry has had horrible consequences for the health of patients. The eagerness drug companies have to sell new products has led to oversights and marketing that is so aggressive that it is unethical at best.
While medications can help prevent disease, new products come with serious social responsibility.
Here are some reasons you may want to consult a lawyer about your prescription medication.
Side Effects
People are actually having strokes and heart attacks due to prescription drugs. Meridia, for example, is a drug that has had a variety of severe consequences for its patients, including increased heart problems. Doryx is a prescription drug that may cause hepatitis. Such severe side effects are inexcusable. When you see your doctor, you do so to improve your health. If you’re suffering severe side effects from one of these drugs, or any other prescription drug, you may want to consult an attorney.
Birth Defects
Anti-depressants are another type of prescription drug that has become incredibly common, and unfortunately these drugs may lead to birth defects. If you believe your child may have a birth defect due to you taking prescription drug, you should get legal representation.

There is a lot of talk about financial security and security on the internet but what about home security? We highly recommend a security system but beyond that there are things you can do to gain some peace of mind and we are going to share those with you.
1. Make the home look occupied by leaving some lights on or having your lights on a timer.
2. Keep a car parked in your driveway. If you are going to be away for a few days have a neighbor park there or a relative leave their car there.
3. Never leave notes on your door indicating you are away and have someone collect your mail when you are away.
4. Keep landscaping trimmed just below the window to avoid creating a hiding space for burgerlers.
5. All exterior doors should have a dead bolt and you should use them.
6. Make sure to test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors twice a year!
7. Make sure to not leave things out lying around that could be used for access into your home such as tools, ladders, or extra keys.
8. Install flood lights at all corners of the house. Motion detector lights would also work.
9. If you have an alarm system that is not currently being monitored it will still work as a deterrent when the alarm sounds.
10. Get to know your neighbors! Exchange contact information and keep an eye out on each others house. Or better yet, start a neighborhood watch group.
